Father in heaven, all praise to you, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  It is by your great mercy that we have been born again, because you raised Jesus Christ from the head.  Now we live with great expectation.

Thank you for Jesus who is the Resurrection and the Life. Thank you for the Holy Spirit.  Holy Spirit lead, guide, direct, teach and comfort today.

Jesus we know that you came out of the graves after your resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Now you are seated at the right hand of the Father making intercession on our behalf. Jesus we thank you that you have been given authority in heaven and on earth.  You want us to go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  You want us to teach these new disciples to obey all the commands you have given us.  And we can be sure of this:  that you are with us always, even to the end of the age.  

Father we lift up President Obama.  We thank you that all authority comes from you God and that President Obama has been placed there by you.  Thank you that no one will rebel against his authority, but they will do what is right and support his decisions.

We lift up each one reading this prayer to you today. We thank you that you will give them the desires of their heart.  Strengthen them. In Jesus name we pray and do give thanks. Amen.
