Dealing with Frustration and Anger

Dealing with Frustration and Anger

At times, everyone feels angry or frustrated. When used as positive tools, these emotions can spur us to action to try to make our lives or the world better. This title explores both the positive and negative sides of these emotions and looks at the many techniques that anger management experts suggest for handling these feelings in healthy ways.

Father God in heaven, we thank you that you are all powerful, all knowing, and ever present.  Thank you for Jesus our Lord and Savior.  We thank you that Jesus is our Prince of Peace.  Thank you for the Holy Spirit.  Holy Spirit have your way. Lead, guide, direct, teach, and comfort.  Father we thank you that you are a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and you are of great kindness and forsake us not.  Thank you Father that your anger endures but for a moment but in your favor is life.  Thank you that you being full of compassion forgave our iniquity and destroyed us not.  Thank you that you sent Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins.

Father we lift up that one that is experiencing anger.  We thank you that they will let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from them, with all malice.  We thank you that when they are angry they will sin not.  They will not let the son go down on their anger.  They will neither give place to the devil.  Thank you that they will be merciful, gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.  Thank you that they will answer will a soft answer.  For a soft answer turns away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger.  Thank you that they have discretion, because it is written that “the discretion of a man defers his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.  Thank you that they will cover an offense.  Thank you that they will with all lowliness and meekness, with long suffering, forbearing one another in love, endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.  Thank you Lord that there is one body, one Spirit, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is above all, and through all, and in all. Thank you that they be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Thank you Father that you make the storm calm so that the waves thereof are still.  Thank you that is a great calm.

Your word says we can ask for anything in my name, and you will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.  So father be glorified in Jesus name.  Amen.
